ms-dos boot disk
« on: August 02, 2004, 03:08:08 PM »
??? I have windows xp home. I found the links to make an MS-Dos boot disk and did so. My problem is that the boot disk has no cd-rom support. I would like to install an earlier version of windows for those nostalgic days of X-Com and the like but I can't even edit the boot disk. The edit command gives me a "Bad command" message. Any ideas?

http://www.bootdisk.com has boot disks with CD support.  :)

As far as editing the existing boot disk, why not boot up in XP and edit it on the floppy, that way you'll have several editors to use.
