Which PC should I go for
    « on: September 22, 2017, 11:37:43 AM »
    Hi guys,

New to PC gaming and is buying my first gaming PC. I want to play games like Battlefield 1, Hitman, etc. in 1080P with decent FPS. I have narrowed down to these two used gaming PC with same price and really competitive set up. Please comment to help me decide. Thanks!!!

Buying Older Used Computer as your first gaming computer? These look like used computers with specs and parts. These are both older 5 - 7 year old CPUs. So if anyone is selling them as a new computer unless they are mixing older new guts its likely they are composed of guts that have been heavily used. My brother has the i7 2600k and he has had it for around 5 years. Google shows release date of 2011 for the i7. The Phenom x6 CPU is almost 7 years old. How much are they asking for these systems?

I liked the second option. Although I agree their characteristics are too old

Assuming the price is right- I'd say at most $400, the latter system has a better CPU and GPU all around. There would be no reason to pick the first system if the price is the same, except needing more storage- though the 1.5TB figure makes me wonder if it is a Seagate Barracuda since the 1.5TB Models had a known firmware problem which resulted in early failure.

The second option is good but it is to old PC also i think you might not able to upgrade it in future so your budget allows buy a new one if not second one is quite good choice

          What makes the 7970 > R9 380?

Plus the 1st CPU is older but it has 6 cores over the 4 in the Intel system, with most modern games being optimised for multicore CPUs I wouldn't be surprised to see the AMD here out perform the Intel on most titles.

The lack of an OS SSD could be annoying though.

            And CPUs:

            I take it all back.

Turns out that under benchmark the parts in system 2 perform better on average.
