The HDD can be hooked up to any workin PC and be tested...i suggested this above.

    You are focusing on problems...instead of solutions...
    Nothing will come of that.
    So you have 2 choices...have a friend test the HDD to see if it's worth saving...or wait until you get your PC and do it yourself.
