    PC Won't turn on
    « on: November 13, 2017, 07:40:01 AM »
I recently had a power outage while my PC was on, and ever since I have been unable to start the pc, all connections are fine, so I am thinking this is probably a hardware issue. Could this be software, and if not how can I check what has failed? I only very recently got this PC, so I wouldn't have expected a failure already...

There is a rocker switch on the back of the PSU....toggle it a few times with power removed a few times...

NOTE it's not the red one which is 120/240V switch....it's usually black.

I have attempted that, and it made no difference there. There isn't a red one in my case.

What make and Model is the PSU ? ?...you may need to borrow 1 and swap it in there to see if it's the culprit...

Cooler Master 600W ATX PSU... I would have thought that was good enough not to break straight away.

I was wondering whether there is a way to test the PSU without having to get another, as to do that I will have to buy one... and I cannot do that right now.

Ask everyone you know...all you need to borrow it for is a day...many people have spare PC's.
No need to buy 1 til you know for sure.
