    windows 7 error 403

    A few days ago my avg anti virus wouldn't work and the avg notification suggested I reinstall. this download wasn't allowed and a window has appeared on my laptop saying server returned status code 403.
    avg and my computer is now working o k but I cannot get rid of this error 403 window. I've tried system restore. any ideas please? Thnx

    maybe a screen shot of the error message will help understand the issue.
    have you checked out MSCONFIG to see if any extra processes have been added to the list?
    I assume you have rebooted the Pc and this message comes up every time?

    I would ditch AVG and find a suitable replacement...they are not what they once were at all...
