    Hi,

I read the forum that i should read before posting anything. I tried to follow the instructions like installing CCleaner. Unfortunately as i said i cant open any .exe files. trying to open them just hold the computer for a bit then i get an error.( I attached a picture of the error)

So the things I tried so far are the simple things, safe-mode, cmd in admin to use certain command prompt, regedit and things like that. unfortunately  nothing of these work, some of them taking longer to open then just show an error message like the one above.

I cant restart my pc because it freezes when i try to restart, I had this issue a long time ago. So i can only shutdown then turn it on again.

I downloaded few files today to code something and i noticed that firewall got shutdown for some reason, trying to turn it back on and nothing happen and same error again.
Then all errors came up. That's how i am figuring it is a virus.

I have Windows 10 if there is anyway i can get logs without installing any program I think I can do it.

I will stop using my computer until I get some kind of answer as instructed.

    Thank you

Hello and welcome to Computer Hope Forum. My name is Dave. I will be helping you out with your particular problem on your computer.

    1. I will be working on your Malware issues. This may or may not solve other issues you have with your machine.
    2. The fixes are specific to your problem and should only be used for this issue on this machine.
    3. If you don't know or understand something, please don't hesitate to ask.
    4. Please DO NOT run any other tools or scans while I am helping you.
    5. It is important that you reply to this thread. Do not start a new topic.
    6. Your security programs may give warnings for some of the tools I will ask you to use. Be assured, any links I give are safe.
    7. Absence of symptoms does not mean that everything is clear.

If you can't access the internet with your infected computer you will have to download and transfer any programs to the computer you're using now and transfer them to the infected computer with a CD-RW or a USB storage device. I prefer a CD because a storage device can get infected. If you use a storage device hold the shift key down while inserting the USB storage device for about 10 secs. You will also have to transfer the logs you receive back to the good computer using the same method until we can get the computer back on-line.

How long has it been doing this? Did you install or download anything before this started? Did you try System Restore? Do you have the Windows 10 disk or do you have a recovery on a separate partition of your hard drive?

    1. Click Start, click Run, type chkdsk /r, and then click OK.
    2. At the command prompt, type Y to let the disk scanner run when you restart the computer.
    3. Restart the computer.
    4. Chkdsk will run.

      Thank you for the replay.
It started yesterday couple of hours before I post In the form. I installed few things
related to programing and data set. that's when it started.
System restore doesn't work it get stuck.i
I used Microsoft tool on my other laptop to download windows 10 to a formatted hard drive, just in case I have to do it. At this point I really just want to use my laptop. So if this is going to require a long process please instruct me to how to use my external hard drive to clean install windows. I think I know how but just in case.

Also about chkdsk /r it doesn't work a window pop and disappear fast. trying to run it in admin mode doesn't work. and will get same error as original form

      Thank you again for help

Did you check if you have a Recovery on another drive?
