issues after downloading Emsisoft no windows/programs are working

Hello,

Today, I have downoladed and installed Emsisoft emergency kit scanner and after first scan which has detected 1 treat it downloaded additional Emsisoft malware remowal software. after its download nothing works properly. I cannot start CCleaner or my free Avast software, MB and super anti-spyware or Photoshop, DAZ, etc. Additionally, I'm not able to access computer system and to uninstall emsisoft or avast or to check for and repair computer issues. The windows system restore isn't working either. I'm constantly getting error messages that the programs cannot be opened. No chance to enter into safe mode. Also cannot shut down or restart computer when clicking  on the start button.

I don't know what to do, since I haven't found any help with Emisoft support.  In one of the forum topics https://support.emsisoft.com/topic/28092-cant-access-my-computer-at-all/ it says that it's enough to delet the EEK folder and all compability issues will be removedd. But this is not the case. I was able to delet the  folder however the problems still occur.

I have Toshiba notebook with Windows 8.1

Hello and welcome to Computer Hope Forum. My name is Dave. I will be helping you out with your particular problem on your computer.

1. I will be working on your Malware issues. This may or may not solve other issues you have with your machine.

7. Absence of symptoms does not mean that everything is clear.

If you can't access the internet with your infected computer you will have to download and transfer any programs to the computer you're using now and transfer them to the infected computer with a CD-RW or a USB storage device. I prefer a CD because a storage device can get infected. If you use a storage device hold the shift key down while inserting the USB storage device for about 10 secs. You will also have to transfer the logs you receive back to the good computer using the same method until we can get the computer back on-line.

Please boot in Safe Mode with Networking and run this scan.

Download and install: Please download Malwarebytes' scanner to your desktop.
Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.

• It should update automatically if the computer is connected to the internet.
• Click on Threat Scan and click on Scan Now.
  
• The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
• When the scan is complete make sure all the infections have "quarantine" selected in the Action box.
  
• Click on "Apply actions" You may be asked to Restart your computer to completely remove the infections.
  
• When disinfection is completed you can click on "Copy to Clipboard".
  
• Paste the log in you next reply (CTRL+ V)

Hello David,

many thanks for your reply. I  unfortunnatelly cannot enter the safe-mode. i tried many times holding the shift key and clicking on the power & restart button or just holding the F8 key when starting computer.  It just wont work. I tried as well holding the window + R key + msconfig. I'm only getting error messages "data system failure 1073741819".

I'm not able to uninstall Emsisoft, always getting an error message that there was a failure during the  uninstallation. I tried to use Revo uninstaller. No chance to use it,not even to extract the file.

I  already had MB, CC and super-antispyware installed. Now I cannot use tham at all.

My adobe photoshop, DAZ3D or any other software are complitely disabled.

I used EEK from Emsisoft for a second opinion scan. I didn't expect such issues at all. I used other products in the past but they never caused such harm.

Any advice on how to get into safe-mode?

Hello David,

I the meanwhile I got a reply from Emsisoft on my complaint and they have given me instruction how to uninstall their product. All I had to do is to  click on their icon in the  task bar and disable its function. then I was able to uninstall the program and now everything works well.   

If you wish I can perform MB and Avast and post the logs, just to  be sure that i'm still not infected.

No. If everything is working well that should be ok. You can run MBAM just for your own satisfaction.
