Are they on the same partition ? ?
Did you set it up this way for a reason ? ?
Do you have any more info on your system and or how this happened ? ?

Someone will be along shortly to assist after you provide more info.

Go into disk managment and reformat the partition with 2k on it. You may still get two options when you boot up. If you do, go into startup and recovery and edit the system startup file by removing the line for 2k. This wil vary a bit on XP, my work machines are 2k and I don't remember how to do it in XP.

Think nothing of it. I appologize for not being more specific. It's just that I am the operator for the IT helpdesk here at the college and have little time between calls. 5,000 computers operated by 4,800 uber newbs  ;D(if I can steal that from you). They like to keep me busy.

guys, i have a similar problem.
after intalling - reinstalling - trying to install again. windows 2000, now I have 2 different win2k at the start of my laptop, i have to choose between win 2k and win 2k  (instead win 2k and win xp) to use my computer , what is even worse is that I have also a win 2k setup to choose from.
i just want to format everything and install "again" my win 2k and go on working with my laptop, dont really care about the info, or delete partitions, athouth i only have one, used to have 2 but they were set to only one time ago.
any help!!!!???? :-[
please.
thanks a lot
