is it possible to convert USB 1.1 to 2.o

No, but you can get an add-on card that fits in a PCI slot inside that will give you up to 4 USB 2.0 ports for about $10-15

I have used this one before with success in an old Dell:

Thanks. I work in Kuwait and sometimes trying to find certain items and explaining what your looking for can be a real pain. When I go look fo this card what do I ask for. Thanks again

PCI card with USB 2.0 adapters. Take them a picture if possible. Good luck.

Thanks. I like working here. The people are good and it's not to bad. Worked in Saudi Arabia once and swore I'd never go back. Have to go and see if I can find that card. Thanks a lot for the help.

I need some help...my usb port from my printer is not working. think it was tweeked and maybe pulled out something.  What does the inside of a usb port on the printer end look like inside? I see nothing and the connection is too loose for the cable to stay inside.  is there some way to fix this?
