    Hello everyone,

I regularly have to make a PowerPoint presentation for my study. Then I have a few dozen PPT pages, where I place texts and accompanying photos.

My question: Is there a way to import urls or computer location (C: / Desktop .. etc) with photos and texts? The photos in the Excel file are then url locations or computer locations and the texts are in the corresponding cells.

So, roughly visualized, the Excel file looks like this:

Click on image for larger version

    Name: ppt.jpg
    Views: 0
    Size: 63.2 KB

In the PPT presentation, the images with accompanying titles, texts, etc. If it can be cheered up with certain colors / designs etc, that would be even better.

Would be very nice if I can be helped with this.

Do not like tips about plug-ins. These are too expensive for me as a student. My English is not very good, since i'm from Holland.

    Thanks in advance!

    Geertje W.

    From a Google search:
       1. In PowerPoint, select the Insert tab. Clicking the Insert tab.
       2. Click the Object command in the Text group. ...
       3.  A dialog box will appear. ...
       4.  Locate and select the desired Excel file, then click Insert. ...
       5.  Check the box next to Link to file if you want to link the data to the Excel chart. ...
       6.  Click OK.

Hello soybean, thanks yor your reply.

I see that i didnt include the image example of what i mean.

I dont mean an Excelfile as a page, i mean independent texts and images, each text and image for a different slide in Powerpoint.

        Hi,

thanks for your answer, but that's not wat i meant. I want every row of data from the Excel-file to be visible in individual slides.
So for example row 1 has Title X, Image X and Description X, so the title X, image X and description X have to be visible each in their own Powerpoint page/slide. If there are for example 10 Excel-rows, they have to be visible in 10 individual slides, all with their own title, image and description. I hope you understand what im trying to say

        Thanks

There is no existing solution for this. If there are plugins that do this, those are your best bet. If you insist on not using those for monetary reasons, then you will have to either write the VBA in either Excel or Powerpoint which creates the slides from an excel document.
I was trying to dereference Null Pointers before it was cool.

          Hi BC programmer,

Yeah, that's basically what i want. To know wich way or code i have to use to accomplish that goal. I don't really care on wich way it has to be done. If it has to be done with an VBA-code, that's fine to me.

So do you have a suggestion? Because i'm really not into coding yet, i barely know how to activate a macro.

Or do you have a tutorial where i can learn to do this specific task?

I have searched for myself for hours but couldn't fit either the code or a tutorial

          Thanks
