trying to perma change default folder icon
« on: June 27, 2018, 05:28:15 PM »
Every time I start a new folder I want that folder to always have a specific folder icon that i made instead of the standard defaulted one without having to manually go in to properties and change it myself every time. How can I do that?

You can't without changing it in Properties...

It's not that hard...

And next year it's gonna be 2019...

Pretty simple task as it is now...

You can change the IconPath Value in Computer\HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder\ShellNew in the registry to set the folder's icon for a new folder, I expect.
I was trying to dereference Null Pointers before it was cool.

Its not possible to change folder icon without change its property. Since you want to change folder icon as per you requirement,  you can change it by folderico.com.
