I have a Dell Vostro 1700 that I restored and upgraded to Windows 10. All was good. I was happy. After reassembling the laptop, the keyboard doesn't work. So I stripped it down again and reassembled it, again. No change. The keyboard did work prior to the reassembly. So I bought another Dell Vostro 1700 for parts and used that keyboard in place of mine. That didn't help either. I'm guessing the keyboard isn't the problem unless both keyboards died. The error code states the touch pad isn't detected, but the touch pad does indeed work. I tried deleting the drivers for the keyboard and touch pad. Any suggestions where to go from here?
