Be careful with the cheap paid for services to generate traffic as for they can send fake traffic to your blog by use of automated bots to simulate people actually being there, but the bots will up-tick your traffic stats in analytics.
I have seen people using Youtube however where they post videos on content and then used that for free to get people to click on links to go elsewhere in which your blog can be linked/ So if your able to make a youtube video that appeals to people, you can advertise yourself your blog there.
