    Firefox error
    « on: October 29, 2018, 05:10:08 PM »
Greetings All, Have Googled this to no avail.  Win 7 Home Premium SP1.  When trying to access any site on FF (Ver. 62.0.3) getting error

    Unexpected response from server

Firefox doesn’t know how to communicate with the server.

Check to make sure your system has the Personal Security Manager installed.
This might be due to a non-standard configuration on the server.

Internet explorer working fine on this computer.  Have tried "Refresh Firefox"  and "Restart with add-ons disabled" In their troubleshooting wizard.  I Have to avoid un-install - re-install as I am trying to help an elderly neighbor and she does not have ANY ! of her passwords written down.  Any thoughts suggestions greatly appreciated.  Cheers !

you could try creating a new Firefox profile.
that'll prove it's a Firefox issue or not.

also try from another user account profile to rule out the current account being a factor.
both options sadly will not have all the stored passwords.
but if they work, you could copy the sqlite files and the key4.db file from the current FF profile to the new one.

Thanks Mark.  Un-install, Re-install resolved the issue.  Did the best I could to help her with her passwords.
