USB Mouse and Thumb sticks not working in Windows 7
    « on: October 28, 2018, 01:23:07 PM »
    Hi everyone,

I am building a new system specs below:

    CPU: Pentium G5400
    Motherboard: Asrock H310M-HDV/M.2
    8 GB RAM
    No Graphics Card
    240 GB Inland SSD

I've successfully downloaded Windows 7 but my USB Mouse and Thumb sticks are not working. They do however work in bios (both 2.0 and 3.0). I have gone to the device manager and tried updating the drivers. Most of the drivers "worked" but it seems like the Serial USB Controller one doesn't want to get updated. Windows update also is having trouble supposedly with the chip set according to a pop-up I got upon opening the computer.

I haven't slept all night trying to fix it. I'm at my wit's end. If anyone could please point me in the right direction I'd be extremely grateful.

You need to re-install ALL the drivers from the CD that shipped with the MBoard...

I did their full driver install off the cd now...but it only took my internet driver away. It also downgraded a lot of the drivers. Currently I'm trying to fix what the cd broke.

      Hi

Your motherboard DOES NOT support Windows 7. You need to load windows 10 64bit.

I read a post on a Tom's Hardware forum in regards to a A320m Mobo that just might apply to your problem with the A310m. It seems you have to slipstream the drivers for your USB ports into the installation media for Win 7. See the following:

        Hope this  helps
