    Can't install a 'free' anti-virus?

    Hello everyone
    I am running Ubuntu 18.10 on my desktop as the default OS. But i have been trying to install a 'free' anti-virus but have failed everytime?
    Could someone tell me how and why this is happening and point me to a 'free' and easy to install anti-virus please.

    Not enough information. What antivirus? How are you trying to install it? What are the error messages?

    Are you framiluar using the terminal?

    sudo apt install clamavOtherwise search clamav in the Ubuntu software center.
