Microsoft word application error fault

I keep getting an error when I open up Microsoft word. This error comes up:

WINWORD.EXE - Application Error

The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000005) click ok to close the application

Please could someone help me as Im not sure what to do now

Do you have a valid Microsoft software disc with Microsoft Office?  If so, I suggest uninstalling it and then reinstall it.  Some info at Uninstall Office from a PC
