      I think I do just do not know how to define a Java home variable.

      A JRE is not a JDK.

      It's also too old. even the initial Android Studio version required JDK 7.


      I was trying to dereference Null Pointers before it was cool.

        I was looking at system requirements and I do not have enough memory. There is Android studio and the there is Microsoft visual studio will these programs do the same thing?

        It depends on what you mean by "do the same thing".
