    Incompatible Keyboard drivers?
    « on: December 13, 2018, 08:16:14 AM »
    On the host (W7prof64) the keyboard layout is "German (Swiss)", but the guest (WXPprof64) has a different (unknown) layout.

    Drivers installed on HOST are shown in attached "Host kbd.png"
    under -> Details
    -> Property: In English something like "Device description"
    -> Value: In English something like "Standard keyboard (PS/2)"

    Driver installed on GUEST is shown in attached "Guest kbd.png"

    I would very much appreciate, if someone could please provide some help on how to possibly attain on the guest the same keyboard layout as on the host, namely "German (Swiss)".

    Thanks and regards.

    If you want the German/Swiss layout on Windows XP, you need to actually install the German/Swiss release of Windows XP.
    I was trying to dereference Null Pointers before it was cool.

      The problem occured after setting up the system on a new harddisk using the same installation CDs for host and guest as before. Two years ago the installation caused no problems. I presume that some W7 updates cause this time the problem.
