Get a Bluetooth Earpiece for Smartphone?
« on: December 15, 2018, 12:21:59 PM »
I have never had a wireless earpiece for a smartphone. Now I am thinking about it.
Maybe like this one:

But I do not see the point in paying $60 and more.  On eBay there are some from Chins  for about $17 or less that claim to have the same specs. Is the difference in quality real?

What experience have you had with any low-cost Bluetooth earpiece?
Any suggestions welcome.

From talking to people who have had them, my main impression is that they are too easy to lose or drop down the toilet. Plus (my personal opinion) they make you look like a d*ck or a store detective.

Pretty much, I almost never see anyone using them nowadays and people using them tend to look a bit ridiculous (they were all the rage maybe 10-15 years ago, nowadays they have fallen out of fashion).  If you want a hands free device, you'd be much better off getting proper bluetooth (or wired) earphones, many sets nowadays include a microphone and button which can be used to answer calls so they can be used in place of a bluetooth earpiece while also being usable for listening to music and tend not to look as ridiculous.
