    Keyboard keys misplaced
    « on: January 11, 2019, 05:15:16 PM »
    Hello

I have noticed that some of my keyboard keys do not display the letter on the key itself when depressed. For example, the backward slash displays this # and the " displays the @ sign.

How can I correct this, please? I have the latest driver for the keyboard according to Device Manager.

    Thanks!

    Questions.
Is this  your computer? Do others mess with you computer?
Where do you live? Each region has it sown keyboard lout.
Herein North America there are four layouts might be used.
French, US, US International and Spanish.
More often US is the standard.

Do you think you might have the wrong one?

I am in the UK but bought a Microsoft keyboard on eBay which may well be a US one. There is no £ sign, for example, but there is a $ sign.

      Change Keyboard to US
Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
Under Clock, Language, and Regional Options, click Change keyboard or other input methods.
In the Regional and Language Options dialog box, click Change keyboards.
In the Text Services and Input Languages dialog box, click the Language Bar tab.

Many thanks - changing the keyboard to US International has done the trick (though I have to keep on using ALT 156 for the £ sign, but never mind!
