I have anywhere from 80 to 87 Processes going at any one time on my computer and it has slowed down my computer considerably. I assume that everything I have a Desktop Icon for is on the Startup. I have a Lenovo Ideacentre, 1 T hard drive, 6 GB RAM, Windows 7 Pro, 64 bit. There is very little space used on HD C. I found directions for stopping some of the programs from loading that I know are not essential, however, when I typed in "misconfig" at the Startup it went to a window that was not the one that it was supposed to go to in which one of the choices was STARTUP. Finally, I just typed in System Configuration at Startup and then it finally went to the correct window where I could click on the Startup tab and view the programs that were loading on startup. There were nowhere near the number of programs on the list that are listed as running Processes on the Task Manager. Programs like Amazon Music, RealPlayer, Windows Media Player, 4K You Tube to MP3, Corel, The Print Shop, Epson Printer, Coupon Printer Service, Sony Camera and Flux, were not on the Startup List. I am somewhat mystified as to where these programs are residing so that I can stop them from loading. I have at times done End Process on Task Manager, but some of them just load right back up again. Anyone have any suggestions as to how to get these programs to stop loading? Thank you
