msvbvm60.dll error

Everytime I load a new Internet explorer browser i get an msvbvm60.dll error and then it closes all other windows except the first one i opened. It even the same error opens if i click on a link and a new browser oepns and that one gets the same error. please help its offly annoying to always have the same error and i can't multytask on the internet. I have  windows ME and Internet Explorer 6
