    Firefox refusing connections
    « on: March 02, 2019, 07:39:00 AM »
    Hello

In Firefox (which I never use), I get a message that the browser is refusing all connections. I am trying to go here: http://localhost/DVWA-master/index.php

If I go to Options | Network Connections in Firefox, I see this (which is how it should be 127.0.0.1 8080) attached.

What should I be doing that I am not doing, please!

    Thanks

It is for a Burp Suite tutorial I am following. Part of the tutorial asks me to configure Firefox.

      Thanks for replying.

I have just tried that (attached) with Manual Proxy Configuration selected - to load the Google home page and still get this:

The proxy server is refusing connections

Firefox is configured to use a proxy server that is refusing connections.

          No, sorry - same error.

I tried it with Proxy Socks v5 alove selected and with Enable DNS HTTPS - same result.

I can only access pages when No Proxy is selected and the manual proxy settings are greyed out. (I assume that means they are not used?)

No, just an online tutorial I am trying to follow. Too old for school!

OK, thanks anyway - I will try to reach someone who authored the tutorial.
