Windows 7 vs Windows 10??

I am formatting my computer, I am struggling to decide on which windows to install.
Windows 10 does not ask user whether to install upadates or not.

Let me know your views on which to choose version of window.

Personally, unless windows 7 has something you cannot live without or you have some software that simply can't run in windows 10 and needs 7 then i'd just install win 10.

Win7 extended support I think will end on Jan 14th, 2020.

If setup doesn't look for updates prior to starting the installation, then I'd run the windows update right after you boot to the desktop.

Usually, unless you have lots of money, and can afford to buy full retail versions of different versions of Windows, you are stuck with what you have got legally, so maybe piracy, or breach of EULA is involved? Just saying.
