    PC freezes up accidentially
    « on: September 02, 2019, 07:08:44 AM »
I've build up a new PC and it frezes up time to time.
The thing that sometimes it happens while playing or 3d modeling sometimes it gust happens. Even if I just turned it on and left as it is. Timing is also random sometimes it's 10-15 minutes, sometimes it's 2-3 hours.
I've installed sofrware that tracks temperature to a file and before freeze it's about 65° for both CPU and GPU.
The symptoms is that the image suddenly freezes, the sound turns to "bzzzzzz" and hdd light turns off.

Please list all the parts you used to build your desktop computer. Including the power supply and the memory chips. And what version of Windows.  :)

        TobbyQ;
Some have had trouble doing Win 10 on SSD. You might consider some other alternative. Why did you want SSD anyway?
        I found this:
        Quote
If you want a fresh installing, you should have a legit product key for the Windows 10. Otherwise, your best option would be clone system partition to SSD and upgrade to Windows 10 or upgrade to Windows 10 and transfer Windows 10 OS to SSD.
I have never tried that, so I do not understand what it means.   ::) ::)

This article describes how to move win 10 from hdd to ssd.. I had a fresh intalation both ssd and hdd was new and empty.

I have wild guess.. Can all this happen because of unsuitability of electricity in my house?
It doesn't turns off or something, but wiring is very old and I think maybe it's not stable or too week to hand such power... Should I have to try UPS?

12 Things You Must Do When Running an SSD in Windows 10

In this futuristic year of 2019 it’s safe to assume that most tech-savvy Windows 10 users have made the switch from SATA hard drives to SSDs – whether by getting a relatively new PC or by doing the upgrade themselves.

Windows 10 has plenty of features that help SSDs operate to their full potential, but it doesn’t always enable them by default. In addition, many of the “must-do” rules from the early days of SSDs aren’t necessarily valid anymore, and we’re going to dispel those here. (You might be particularly surprised to hear that defragging isn’t such a bad idea!)
But I lack personal experience.  :-\

That article's URL contradicts the header in the page- The articles original title was "12-things-you-must-do-when-running-a-solid-state-drive-in-windows-7".

In any case, none of those are Windows 10 specific. Some of them are just bad advice, like disabling superfetch and Windows Search. Most of them aren't even specific to SSDs.
