Which home routers have good management tools?
« on: August 19, 2019, 02:05:44 PM »
For over a week I have been trying to measure the bandwidth of devices on my home network.
Now I believe that my router is a orphan, it does not conform the the standards used by others of management. But I might be wrong.

So, my question is this: Are some routers better for doing bandwidth monitoring? I can see the total usage of my router, but I can not see the use of individual computers or devices. I want to monitor a XBOX 1 using wireless. I know the MAC address, but so far I have not found a program that can tell me how much the XBOX is using on a daily basis.

I have installed PRTG and later found that it needs a special PERL script to read my MOTOROLA router. For me, trying a long PERL script is like pulling teeth.

So I am thinking about using another router for the project.
I understand the D-Link routers are easy to manage. Is that true? Wat about NETGEAR?
