Your HP has memory diagnostics built in, when you start the computer press esc and select system diagnostics to check the system. If you have memory errors it doesn't mean the memory is faulty all that may be required is with the power turned off at the wall wait a few minutes and then try removing and inserting the memory a few times to clean the contacts. Then run the memory diagnostics again. Until it passes.
