How to Skip All Ads when you browse Internet.
« on: January 16, 2020, 08:32:09 PM »
It is not the browser. Google will push worthless advertising  almost any content while you are tying to read anything. It is beyond  annoying, it is right in your face.
Here is  how I stop.
I close the browser,
I do not look at the "why is this Ad here" thing.
I do not answer anything s. I do not click anything.
I just leave.

Will they ever learn? I don't care.

I can always get a n book with the comfort the book will never nag, annoy disturb my peace of mind. You can find books in a place called 'Library' and there is one near you.

You may try this -
Chrome browser setting then scroll down and select Advanced, From Privacy and security scroll down and select Site Settings then scroll down again you will see the Ads tab - Just click and Allow.
If it not work. Then Uninstall the browser from your PC.
After that go to -
1st: C:\Program Files (x86)
2nd: C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Local\
3ed: C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Roaming
Permanently delete all the Google folder from your PC.
Then go to "Run" by pressing Windows Key+R
Type "%Temp%" and Clear all.
Type "Recent" and clear all.
Type "Tree"
Now, refresh your desktop by right-clicking your mouse button.

Now Restart your PC and Install the Browser again.
I think it will solve your problems.

I use a combination of uBlock origin to block most ads, and NoScript to block all Javascript by default, which prevents annoying pop over garbage, not just advertisements but the "How dare you use an adblocker, you are making us cry" crap that some sites throw up; Not to mention that most browser exploits take place through Javascript so that's a security measure as well.

I've also got a Raspberry Pi with Pi Hole configured as my DNS server which blocks a good number of advertising domains completely on my entire Home network.
I was trying to dereference Null Pointers before it was cool.

Thanks for this topic.  Thanks for the extensions BC, A vid I normally watch that has ads through it has stopped since adding the extensions in my browser that you mentioned.

This is more than a malaise, it's a malpractice beyond measure. I have tried to use ad-blockers, but I dont see the results I would like to see. It's not that they're annoying (which they are) - a lot of times they bring a trojan along with them. smh!
