Common Folder loads on startup
« on: January 23, 2006, 10:19:46 PM »
I tried all the editing suggestions on how to get junk out of start up in Windows 2000 but none seemed to work.

Systems is Windows 2000 (it has all the current MS bloatware patches) on an IBM A30 laptop.  When the system reboots the last thing that happens before the load is done is a folder called Common shows up. It looks like an empty windows explorer page with common in the address line.   I have tried running Ad Aware, Spybot, Defraging the disk, running Norton Anti Virus and using all the editing suggestions on this site to get rid of this pesky folder.  It is still in this computer on startup

Any suggestions out there how to get rid of this turkey.
