I have recently chanced over to G-Mail.  Everything seems ok other than there is no "Address Book" to store contacts addys??? Can anyone help plz.

Clik the square of dots upper rite side.....in there you will see Contacts.

For what it is worth you can always import all contacts from your previous email program too...just saying.

After you have found contacts as described above, by clicking it you will see LEFT hand side  Import/Export just click Import>
Of course you will have had to exported your contacts (CSV) from your original Email client ,don`t know what that was so can`t guide you through it.
