Realtek RTL8192CU wi-fi problems on upgrade to Win 10
    « on: December 16, 2020, 04:46:27 AM »
    Hi there.

    I recently purchased a refurbished HP 8300 desktop pc with Windows 10 64 bit O/S (2004).

I am using the USB wi-fi adapter from my old Win 7 32 bit pc but there are spells when the internet connection keeps dropping whilst my phone is fine.

    It’s a Realtek RTL8192CU LAN 802 11n USB 2.

In Device Manager it says Driver Version 1027.4.0630.2015 supplied by Microsoft. There are 2 driver files listed and they both start C:\Windows\system32. Does that mean 32 bit?

Forgive my ignorance but can somebody educate me as to where Win 10 got these drivers from and can I download a better driver from Realtek site. I looked but can’t find anything.

    Thank you.
