When I open chrome after it crashes, it shows the “Chrome Did Not Shut Down Correctly” error. After I click on the “restore pages” option, chrome does not bring back the earlier opened pages. I do not know what triggers this error. Any help will be appreciated.

      Try Shift + Ctrl + T
If it doesn't help, here is what google support recommends

Thanks for replying. Pressing ctrl+shift+t only opens the last closed tab. My issue was a little different. However, I found https://digicruncher.com/chrome-didnt-shut-down-correctly/ yesterday, and it seems preventing chrome from running background apps after closing it made chrome stop showing this error.
