USB Drive Won't Stay Mounted
« on: March 03, 2021, 12:53:43 AM »
I have a 500GB USB drive plugged into a Netgear C7000 Router.

When I log into the router via a browser (i.e., 192.168.0.1), I can see the drive, its address, and its folders.

When I go to "Networks" in Windows Explorer, I can see the name of the drive.

When I double-click on the drive in Networks, I get a "Cannot connect to "drive message.

If I edit the name(s) in the browser window, and go back into Explorer, its Fonzie.

But when I reboot, the issue returns.

I had this very same drive and this very same router plugged into a different network a few months ago, and it was always Fonzie. I have changed the name of the drive (from "RJB-MediaDrive" to "DB-Media") but other than that.

Weird, right?
