Windows XP - Updating in 2021
« on: November 11, 2021, 08:39:23 PM »
This board hasn't updated in a while... Anyone else still using Windows XP?

I recently fished a Tektronix DPO7104 oscilloscope out of the scrap bin.
IIRC core 2 duo 4gb ram 160 gb sata hdd I will be upgrading it to an SSD ASAP - I am waiting on the hdd caddy adapter.

It came with a clean install of XP SP2 (32 bit) with all of the Tektronix specific utilities already loaded. I want to get all the O/S updates that were available. Does anyone know of an easy and official way?

My backup plan is to use this unofficial update pack:

I've installed it in a VM and it seems to do what it says it does. Does anyone else have experience with this software?

I ended up using http://legacyupdate.net/ it had about 120 updates that the unofficial SP4 didn't contain.
It also updates office and visual studio.
