First off what is the application you are using?

 Did you save it properly?

Does the softwear come with a special media player?

How big are the files?

To check the extension of the song right click on the song and go to properties it should tell you if it is a MP3 MP2 MOV. ETC..

Are you first trying to play the song off your computer or are they emailed songs?
