unistall google toolbar

i dont remember installing the google toobar, but whatever happened, when i go to add/remove programs, its there, and it can't be removed. what can i try

Try removing in the Safe Mode. Press F8 at startup...

Well the only thing I know is how 2 remove it from IE, and here's how it goes:
 Extras-->(Tab)Internetoptions-->(Tab)Programs-->Manage Add-ons . A new window opens, there u can deactivate the Google Toolbar and see the name of the file. That u can search and either uninstall (if there is an uninstall EXE) or delete.
