Guest Access To Home Network
« on: May 30, 2022, 11:44:56 AM »
Hello, I am trying to configure my home network in the following way. I am not sure if this is even possible but perhaps someone can help me out.
The main house is served by an Asus RT-AX88U router with both wired and wireless devices connected.
We have a guest building that is out of range of the Asus router wireless signal but I have installed a Netgear D6200 router as a WAP which is wired back to the Asus.
So far so good.
However, I want to restrict access from the Netgear router to internet only, i.e. no access to my NAS etc.
Normally, I would set up a guest login but this is not possible on the Netgear as this needs access to the home network to get back to the Asus router and the modem to reach the internet.
Any ideas?
