Cannot delete address bar history

i've already tried deleting my interenet history etc, i've tried clearing my address bar history by google's activity tool in the 'delete activity by' part, and i've also tried disabling omnibox suggestions. Nothing has worked, I still have website suggestions that I viewed years ago, that still come up when i type certain letters

I've attached an image as an example. I probably visited that website 5 years ago. There's no X in the bottom right corner to delete it, I have no idea how to get rid of it?
