HP Software Updates - Are most of these like Portable Apps?
    « on: October 07, 2022, 12:21:30 PM »
    I have about 10GB of HP Update files in my . . . C:\SWSETUP\SP.....

It looks like most of these are self-contained, like Portable Apps ... is there a better term for this?

    Why am I asking:
The latest version of HP Image Assistant did not over-write the previous version, and it's not listed in Program Files.
So, how do I un-install it?
I'm pretty sure I can just delete its folder, and that will get the job done properly.

Some HP Updates, however, do appear in Program Files.  If I wanted to de-install them, that's where to do that.  I don't think they need the extract available to be de-installed.

So my question is, do you see any problems if I deleted all the SP's in my C:\SWSETUP\SP.....

Does anyone know of an HP web page that confirms this is how it works, and what I'm thinking about doing is fine, and will have no affect on the system?
