start up pains
« on: March 16, 2006, 06:04:33 PM »
on start up my laptop running windows 2000 does two annoying things:
1) it automatically opens the 'my documents' folder

2) i get a message warning "can not find c:\logon.exe

doesn't seem to affect much, but i have to close both before i can get on with things.

any suggestions?

thanks

These are both symptomatic of malware infection; the first being caused by the DlDer trojan, the second by the improper removal of an SDBot worm variant.
Carry out the procedures listed in this post and post a Hijackthis logfile here when done.
If possible, zip the logfile and attach it rather than post it.
