Copying video files

PLEASE HELP! Could anyone out there please tell me how i can take video files (wmv and mpg) from my computer and copy/burn onto a cd or dvd so that they can be played on another computer? Im operating on windows xp pro and i have both a cd writer and a dvd writer with Adobe encore dvd 1.0 if that helps. Ive tried everything i can and nothing works. please help if u can

    For this, you can make a simple data CD - nothing complicated is necessary. :)

    To make a data CD:

    Drag the files you want burned in the writer's drive folder (if your writer is D:, put them in D). Then, in the drive window, you should ssee grayed-out versions of the videos. Click "write these files to cd" and follow the wizard's instructions.

    Oh make sure a blank cd is in there that can be written. :)
