SPAM blocking

Does anyone know of any good, free, and trusted (as in they have used it) SPAM blocking programs that look through Outlook Express emails to check for SPAM?

My wife uses GLock Spam-Combat, she gets about 40-50 spam emails a day & swears by it.

What about your ISP?  Can you access your email via a web browser?  Does your ISP offer any spam blocking feature you could be using.  Check it out.  I use Earthlink.  I used them for months before I realized I could use their WebMail feature to view my email from any computer, but also to set preferences for their spamBlocker.  By setting spamBlocker to the highest level, nearly all spam is blocked before it gets to my computer and into my OE Inbox or other folders.

I use Mailwasher but there are free alternatives. I'll see what I can dig up later.
In the meantime, have a look on these two sites for POPFile and/or SpamBayes:
