LCD signal loss
« on: April 03, 2006, 08:37:04 AM »
OK.. I think I saw this in here somewhere else, but I can't find it.. so I'll ask again.  I recently bought my brother a new Sceptre LCD X9G something er other... anyway.. whenever it loses PC signal, it starts flashing a RGB spectrum.  This seems normal, but it not only does this when the computer goes into power save mode, it also does this at reboot.  The problem is, it doesn't pick the signal back up until it's almost finished loading windows... meaning... You totally lose the ability to view the boot process and POST.

Any ideas of how to get this lcd to recognize the signal faster?  I'm hoping the manf will respond with a firmware update or something...

Thanks.
