Odd "802.1x" and "DHCP" message after network logo
« on: April 26, 2006, 10:13:15 AM »
Dell Latitude D600 laptop, Windows XP SP1 with latest updates except SP2; part of a Windows 2000 domain.

After user logins in, message appears saying:

Quote
"Please wait as the wireless subsystem attemtpts to associate, authenticate,
and resolve DHCP for your 802.1x network".

After about 30 seconds, it disappears. Wireless adapter is disabled.

TCP/IP properties seem normal. DHCP is working fine on the LAN. Any ideas? Thanks.

If the wireless adapter is disabled, you may as well also unbind TCP/IP from it.
Only able to visit the forums sporadically, sorry.
