fatal error "Expecting levels tag".

When I try to start up my computer game "ZUMA" I get a fatal error message:Expecting Levels tag.  I have no idea what levels tags are but I am unable to start the game.  Can someone explain to me what this message is.  Thanks in advance.

Is this a pirate copy of the game, or an original?  What is the game?  Have you tried reinstalling?

No, this was purchased from Shockwave game site.  I will try to reinstall and see if that helps.  Thanks for your response.
