i dont see why its not like going on forums is just for younger ppl... it just seems that way cuz most older ppl didnt grow up with computers like us youger ppl
LOL I'm in the 45+ category. I think you fail to recognize that some of us older folks have many years of experience using computers. Now, like any age group, the actual extent of computer knowledge varies widely. And, by no means are all young people computer savvy. It still depends on interests, aptitude, training, etc.
I'm not saying that just because I've used computers for over 20 years makes me a expert on hardware, software, networking, etc. It still depends on the actual experience and training. PC's did not exist when I graduated from high school. They did not exist until many years later. But, I've owned a computer since the first, simple, machines, such as
Commodore 64 was released in August 1982, which I did own. I recall when I was a federal employee and we got our first PC, an IBM with no hard drive. It ran entirely off of floppy disks.
Working a large federal agency also gave me some exposure to main frame systems, although I was not a computer specialist. Do you know what I mean by main frame?
