Desktop Shortcuts
« on: August 14, 2006, 01:06:21 PM »
I have some type of spyware I cant get off my comp, my Spyware Doctor isnt finding it nor is my Symantec Antivirus; probaly the problem... But everytime I click on a folder or shortcut on my desktop my screen flashes to just the background with nothing else(no toolbar at bottom or anything). Then flashes back to the regular desktop, nothing opens.  I try to go through the start menu and through the non shortcuts but same thing happens.  If I click on a game shortcut to a .exe it works fine. It seems to just be the folders including the My Computer.  I really feel I should just recover the whole system, but i have a lot of things i dont want to lose and no way of transfering them elsewhere right now.  I have a Sony Vaio Laptop model PCG-9S1L, Windows XP sp2...dont know what else you might need to know....I use Firefox as browser...HELP! please...
