uninstall windows vista. its a beta version, they only released it for free so that people who download it would be their test subjects....at least thats what i think. :-/

what do you mean "cant install the drivers"? be specific with the details.

Do you have Visa Versions of The Drivers , or are you trying to get it to work with XP drivers?

A Beta version should not be installed unless you are willing to hose the whole installation. You are probably looking at a format and reinstall to get rid of it.

Do you have a real Windows CD? Are you able to back up any data first that you do not want to lose?

You cannot legally download any Microsoft product. You can safely backup your files without Windows if you have the right equipment, though.

Sooner or later everyone needs a real Windows CD. In your case it appears to be sooner.  ;)

      One more reason I don't like M$.

On Topic- Vista is a Beta product, you have to automatically assume that there are going to be errors...lots of them.  Best of luck to ya though.

I don't think it is unrealistic to expect a person to have a legal copy of a Windows CD if that is the operating system they are using. If you want to use Windows, that's what it takes.

As stated no beta product of any kind should be used on a machine that you cannot be willing to format with a complete loss of data at any time. It doesn't get much clearer than that.

Neither do I.  But what I don't like is that if you happen to lose it (and your serial number) then you're royally screwed.  Say bye bye to another $120...just my $0.02.
