Not through a cable, not through hardware, except for an infected hard drive. Only from a download or having/running an infected file.

After literally disappearing for 8 or so years because protection programs got so sophisticated they have recently reared their ugly head...i assume this is a result of the next generation of newbie hackers out there who have nothing better to do than keep us professionals employed.
